I have been practicing physical therapy since 2014 after graduating with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth, Texas.
I have continued my education in pelvic health physical therapy and have completed the Evidence in Motion Certification in Pelvic Health in 2018. In 2020, I earned the Women’s Health Board Specialist Certification. I have experience practicing in orthopedic, acute care and hospital-based physical therapy clinics, and since 2017 I have focused on treating individuals with pelvic floor dysfunction. She is a Certified Clinical Instructor and enjoys teaching and mentoring other physical therapists that are interested in practicing in the pelvic health specialty.
I am also working with Evidence in Motion as a part-time faculty within the Pelvic Health Program. Prior to becoming a physical therapist, I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management from Dallas Baptist University and worked within the business, human resources, and accounting sector.
As an LMSW, my commitment is to uplift individuals, empower women, and support families. Professionally, working as a crisis counselor and grief therapist has given me a deep understanding of the human experience during tough times. Personally, having experienced grief and being a mother, I bring a unique perspective to my work. I'm particularly passionate about maternal mental health, finding purpose in supporting mothers facing challenges like postpartum depression. I go beyond conventional approaches, integrating evidence-based practices to tailor a supportive space for each individual. I don't use a one-size-fits-all method. Instead, I carefully use proven methods and best practices to create a personalized and supportive environment for each person. I'm committed to more than just dealing with immediate issues, I want to help people become stronger and feel better overall. Supporting and empowering mothers on their unique path to mental and emotional well-being isn't just my job, it's something I truly believe in. Having navigated the transformative phases of life with many, I recognize the importance of addressing emotional hurdles. It's in these moments that individuals find strength to emerge even more resilient. I am here not only as a guide but as an advocate for the distinct needs of women, striving to create lasting positive change in their lives.
Born and raised in Youngstown, Ohio, I took a leap of faith and moved to Texas in
2021. I have been a PTA since 2018 and also have my Bachelors in Psychology. After graduation, I
continued to be a resource for the Kent State PTA program as a tutor and lab assistant, sharing my
passion for this field. I have extensive experience in the home health setting working with clients ages
2 months to 99 years old. My gift of connection and building trust and rapport with people of all
backgrounds has strengthened my clinical abilities and intuitive approach to each unique client.
In my spare time, I enjoy dancing, reading and spending time in nature. My goal is to continue to expand
my education, travel, and immerse myself in diverse environments. I desire to be a greater source of
care and trust within all areas of life.
I am from Saint Peters, Missouri and moved to the DFW area in 2023 with my husband and our two cats. I have been a physical therapist since the summer of 2023 after graduating from South College in Knoxville, Tennessee. During my clinical rotations, I was able to work with a pelvic health physical therapist, which inspired me to pursue this specialty. I am now taking courses to complete the CAPP- Pelvic certification through the Pelvic Academy of the APTA. I enjoy treating both orthopedic and pelvic floor conditions with a focus on how we can improve your function to get back to what you love!
